Mahall’s is a slice of Cleveland history. Originally owned by John K. Mahall, this bowling alley first opened its doors in 1924 and stayed in the family for generations. It was sold in 2011 and is now owned by a former regular dedicated to preserving the magic of the ever-vanishing third place. Today, it remains a legendary destination for both bowlers and music lovers alike, hosting events like record release parties, Emo Bingo, and bowling competitions. 

Details of the Grounds

With Mahall’s, you can pick from a few different spots to host your wedding day. The venue is able to host up to 200 guests with the ability to divide up spaces so you can find the ideal spot for your celebration. Because there aren’t really traditional getting-ready suites, I would recommend coming to the venue fully ready for the day. 

The Mahall’s concert venue remains a favorite spot for ceremonies. This area is dark and moody with black tiled walls, exposed pipes, and a Twin Peaks-esque black chevron floor. You can tie the knot on the stage with the neon Mahall’s sign in the backdrop. 

The venue features an old school lounge with paneled walls, vintage bar lighting, and a record display. Your guests can hang out on the antique furniture and sip on some expertly prepared cocktails. 

Then, for your reception, you can hang around for dinner at the alley. They can even include bowling! 

If you are interested in hosting a larger wedding, Mahall’s does have a separate events venue on its campus. The Roxy has enough space for up to 800 guests (yes, you read that right). It keeps the same stylish vibes while giving you way more space to celebrate!
