The Agora Theatre has been a Cleveland institution since it first opened in 1965 in a building near Case Western Reserve University. It bounced around from location to location a few times before settling into its current home at 5000 Euclid Avenue, a musical building with its own rich history. Formerly the Metropolitan Theatre, built in 1913, the Agora Theatre moved in and completed extensive renovations in the late 1980s. In its heyday, the Agora hosted bands and artists like The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, the Grateful Dead, Bob Seger, Genesis, and so many more. Today, the Agora still lives as popular music club and a great gathering space for Cleveland events like weddings!
