Modern and Moody Cleveland Hyatt Arcade Wedding

Laura and Will were orginally a March 2020 couple…but we all know how that went down. Fast forward to 2022 we finally got to celebrate their wedding at the stunning Hyatt Arcade in downtown Cleveland. Their decor was true to their jobs/personalities, with beekers displayed with flowers and crisp black and moody blue. This decor mixed so well with the rest of the Arcade!

One of the main reasons they picked the Hyatt Arcade in Cleveland was because of the beautiful architecture that erupted from floor to ceiling of the historic mall. The wedding parties got ready in different rooms/levels of the antique mall. As it was all in one location, my second shooter and I were able to continually go back and forth between rooms. This made it nice to visit and capture candids between the groups prior to the ceremony. Since it was still a very cold spring day here in Ohio, we took all their pictures inside the venue, including the first look.

First Look at The Arcade in Cleveland

The first look was a super private moment on the top floor of the hotel, as sun beamed in through the top windows. We walked around the interior of of the building, Will and Laura were sweetly talking and touching each other. After their portraits, we did their wedding party pictures on the famous lit stairs in the Arcade.

Timeless Wedding at Hyatt Arcade in Cleveland

Violinists began to play beautiful notes as their guests sat and waited for the processional of the wedding party. On the half hour mark, the party walked down the Arcade’s floor with their timeless outfits. Since the Hyatt was closed to the public at this time, it was a perfect private event. And so the readings and vows of the ceremony rang through the upper levels.

Modern Reception in Downtown Cleveland

Right after the ceremony began family portraits as guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the upper level. Will and Laura joined them soon after to cut their simple yet beautiful cake. Everyone enjoyed this later in the evening as desserts came out. As the natural light fell, they ambient lights from the Arcade mixed with my Profoto monolights created beautiful stillshots of the extravagant reception. Lastly, the night ended with a perfect sparkler send off in the front of the Arcade. I was truly honored to have been apart of this event and it was completely worth that wait!
